Greetings, Friend!
Julian MacDonald is an artist known for his unique blend of eccentricity, introspection, and sharp wit. His dark humor is a testament to his fearless exploration of unconventional ideas and his ability to push creative boundaries. The ones who know him best describe him as colorful, thoughtful, and intensely creative with a presence that is hilariously intimidating and profoundly engaging. Underneath his quiet exterior is a confident, passionate artist who thrives when given the opportunity.
Julian's journey in the performing arts began at a young age. His earlier credits placed him as a guest soloist at various venues and earned recognition as a three-time New Mexico All-State Choir member (the only male in the treble choir), he is an artist that thrives in any style.
His commitment to continuous learning and growth is evident in his diverse training under distinguished mentors. In college, he was guided by Christina Duarte, Kathy Morath, and Dr. Christopher Meerdink. His time at the International Performing Arts Institute was exciting as he studied under Dr. Maryann Kyle and Dr. Bruce Earnest, where he continued to hone his skills.
Julian has taken on leading and memorable roles such as Shrek (Shrek) and Mitch Mahoney (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) as well as various ensemble roles as a Soldier/Actor/Combatant/Swing (Unto These Hills) and Lurch (A Haunting Halloween).
He is eager to perform professionally and is always looking for another mountain to climb. Even if those mountains are abroad. He dreams of playing Man #1 (Songs for a New World), Gomez Addams (The Addams Family), George Surat (Sunday in the Park with George), and, given the chance, any role where he can be painted green.
